Terminals, rail ramps, and equipment depots in Jacksonville

Jacksonville’s marine locations are not a single gate. Blount Island, Dames Point, and Talleyrand contain distinct cargo operations, including the SSA, TOTE, Trailer Bridge, and Crowley references in this directory. Fernandina is a separate port north of Jacksonville. Three railroad origins and several equipment yards add further handoffs.

The order needs the cargo operator as well as the terminal area. An address for a port’s main gate, tenant operation, or rail yard can identify different parts of the same logistics network. Match the shipment release to the actual collection point before assigning the truck.

Repeated RoadOne and ConGlobal names represent different equipment addresses. Keep the street number and purpose of the visit attached to each instruction so the driver does not have to choose among regional sites.

Blount Island and the William Mills Street operators

describes a large mixed-cargo terminal and publishes its broader gate reference on Dave Rawls Boulevard. SSA, TOTE, and Trailer Bridge use William Mills Street addresses within the larger complex. Use the tenant named on the release and its current truck instructions within that larger setting.

A container, vehicle, trailer, and heavy machine may require different transport and loading arrangements. For rolling or breakbulk cargo, provide dimensions, weight, operating condition, and piece count, then confirm the loading method with the handler and carrier. For a sealed container, provide unit type, cargo weight, chassis arrangement, and the customer’s unloading appointment.

Do not route a TOTE or Trailer Bridge collection from a generic SSA address simply because all three appear in the Blount Island district. The booked service and cargo release should identify the actual operation.

Dames Point and Talleyrand addresses

JAXPORT’s identifies the container terminal at 9834 New Berlin Road and the nearby rail ICTF at 9600 New Berlin Road. Those are different handoffs. Older references may use a former operator name; retain the current release and physical address rather than assuming the historical brand determines today’s visit.

distinguishes its main gate at 2085 Talleyrand Avenue from the north gate at 3001, the address used for Crowley. Use the cargo operator’s current entrance instruction. The port authority’s headquarters is another address again and should not replace a cargo gate.

For either terminal area, verify unit or cargo availability and the pickup reference before scheduling. A vessel arrival is a forecast milestone; the truck requires a release and an accepted loading or collection arrangement.

Fernandina is a separate port call

The identifies Relay Terminals as the operator at 501 North 3rd Street in Fernandina Beach. It describes rail service, warehousing, and cargo including forest products, metals, machinery, and containers.

Name Fernandina directly when that is the released origin. It is not another JAXPORT gate, and its operator publishes separate interchange and warehouse windows. If the cargo needs warehouse loading, check that service window rather than assuming it matches general container access.

For a cargo enquiry, specify whether the truck collects an intact container or goods from storage. Provide the freight dimensions, weight, packaging, and intended outbound vehicle for the latter. Include the receiver’s unloading capability when selecting equipment for machinery or other non-containerized pieces.

Railroad pickups and the Soutel approach

The CSX reference on Sportsman Club Road, NS on Soutel Drive, and FEC on Philips Highway are separate rail origins. JAXPORT’s explains the regional role of these carriers and its on-dock/near-dock facilities. Ask the booking provider where the unit will be released under the actual service.

For NS Jacksonville, the shows access from Soutel Drive and explicitly marks no access via Edgewood Drive. Use that distinction when reconciling a general navigation route with the intended truck entrance, and check current instructions for any later change.

For a rail-connected vessel shipment, establish whether a local truck transfer is required. An on-dock connection can be part of the booked service; a separate rail-ramp pickup may occur inland or elsewhere in Jacksonville. Give dispatch both endpoints and references if an actual terminal-to-terminal dray is needed.

Equipment yards and the customer delivery

The Alta Drive and Moncrief Dinsmore Road ConGlobal references are distinct, as are RoadOne’s Imeson Park Boulevard and Eastport Road entries. Confirm the assigned address and service. The other equipment references on Witten Road, Somers Road, East Lane Circle, and Camden Road likewise need a unit-specific release or acceptance.

Forward’s Somers Road depot reference needs particular care. lists its Jacksonville intermodal yard/office at 848 Eastport Road, while the lists Forward Intermodal at 11760 Camden Road. Those sources do not explain how either address relates to the older Somers Road yard. Obtain the receiving address directly from Forward before routing a container return; an office listing alone does not settle the yard destination.

Chassis-pool participation does not establish container-return authorization. Check the owner’s designated box return and any separate chassis destination, then arrange a lift if the unit is grounded. For a hold, agree on dates, mounted or grounded condition, and the next collecting party.

Give the carrier the receiver’s exact premises, appointment, and live-unload or drop arrangement. For a drop, settle the empty-ready notice and later collection. If cargo leaves the container, obtain the handling building and work scope; the explains the additional freight and outbound-vehicle decisions.
