Terminals and equipment depots in Mobile
Mobile’s marine-container terminal is APM Terminals at 901 Ezra Trice Boulevard. Equipment yards are spread between Mobile and Theodore. A container pickup, chassis collection, repair, and empty return can therefore require several different instructions within the same port market.
The most useful preparation is to identify the equipment arrangement before the driver reaches the terminal. A local chassis provider and an ocean-container return yard may share a site, but acceptance of one does not establish acceptance of the other.

Obtain the current physical entrance and accepted transaction from the operator, particularly where an equipment business address may also serve office functions.
Arrange the APM container visit
The Alabama Port Authority’s identifies APM as the container-terminal operator and describes the port’s rail connections. provides the operator route for the Ezra Trice Boulevard terminal.
Match the unit number, ocean carrier, size and type, and release reference before scheduling. Use the terminal’s current availability and visit instructions for the specific transaction. Vessel arrival is useful for forecasting, while a collectible container needs its own release and handling arrangement.
For a refrigerated unit, communicate the road transport and receiver requirements. For unusual equipment or cargo that needs additional handling, obtain the operator’s acceptance before choosing the inland vehicle. A standard container move and a cargo-stripping task should be scoped separately.
For an export, confirm the booking, terminal receiving dates, and cutoff, then work backward through loading and authorized empty collection. A terminal’s general operating window does not establish that the booked vessel is receiving the unit on every day the gate is open.
Baker Street is a specific chassis reference
identifies MRS-CMC at 1251 Baker Street for its off-dock daily chassis program. It lists equipment categories and states that availability is subject to confirmation. The page also directs terminations back to the original pickup location under that program.
Use that information to ask a precise chassis question: which product, size, release, collection time, and termination arrangement applies to the move? Confirm the carrier’s applicable agreement and equipment requirement. A 20-foot container and a 40-foot container do not automatically use the same chassis configuration.
The Baker Street chassis arrangement does not by itself authorize an ocean-container empty return. Obtain the box owner’s current instruction separately. If the container must go to one site and the bare chassis to another, show both stops in the proposed itinerary.
Also distinguish chassis collection from a grounded-container lift. A truck can have an authorized chassis release and still need a separate accepted handling arrangement to mount the box. The explains the equipment terms used in that discussion.
Mobile and Theodore equipment visits
gives 49 Conception Street Road, Mobile, AL 36610. The operator’s site identifies Chickasaw Container Services as Forward Intermodal; this is the same business under its current brand. Conception Street Road is a different address from downtown North Conception Street, so use the full published address when routing. Southern Intermodal Xpress on Bay Bridge Road and Gulf Coast Intermodal on Middle Road in Theodore are separate yards.
State the task when requesting acceptance: collect an empty, return an owner’s unit, arrange repair, or hold equipment. Include the number, owner, size and type, loaded or empty condition, and chassis arrangement. A general depot classification does not establish every one of those services.
For a repair, identify the defect and the party authorizing work. For a loaded hold, disclose the cargo and dates. For a grounded collection, arrange lift availability and a suitable chassis before the tractor arrives. For a mounted hold, agree on the chassis use during storage and the later release process.
Theodore is a separate destination from the central Mobile references. If that equipment stop is assigned after a customer delivery, include its actual address in the service request so the carrier can assess the complete road movement.
Evaluate rail and regional delivery together
The port authority describes Mobile’s reach through its railroad connections. For a rail-connected booking, ask the provider where the container will be released to a truck and whether the waterfront-to-rail handoff is already included. The presence of a rail connection does not establish that the customer needs to arrange a separate local transfer.
For a road delivery, give the carrier the receiver’s exact premises and appointment, whether in Mobile, elsewhere in Alabama, or another regional market. State whether unloading is live or a drop. For a drop, agree on the empty-ready notification and later collection before equipment is left at the customer.
If a warehouse transfer is proposed, obtain the handling building, cargo specification, storage if needed, and outbound transport. Include the empty return after stripping. Our explains those additional freight handoffs.
